psalm 17:15

Psalm 17:15- As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. : Here in this verse we see that David is speaking of the righteousness of the Lord and how if we live the way the Lord tells us to live, that we will be satisfied in the holy immortality under God that is therefore given to us by the Grace of God. It is best not to be confident in ourselves, but to be confident in the Lord, knowing with no shadow of doubt that the Lord God is always with us. Even if things happen in our lives that may make us tremble, or make us tempted to start doubting  or worrying and to take our eyes off of our Father at that moment; The best thing we could do in a difficult scenario like that is to cry out to God for His help and salvation during that time and be confident in Him. When difficult trials come our way, the best thing we could do is pray to our Father and He will help us in that time. God does not give us more than we can handle. I

Hebrews 13:5

Hebrews 13:5 - Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." : In this verse, as we read we notice that it tells us to be content with the things we have and not be covetous.Being content with what we have can sometimes be a bit difficult. as humans, we tend to want more and more or tend to become envious of what others have that we don't. We have the urge to crave more and have more, yet forgetting that we should be happy with what God has provided for us. although there are even some people out there who are content with what our father has provided for them. One such soul was a coal miner, he was dirt poor with only the bread on his table and wore shaggy tattered clothes, he also lived in a shack by himself that was worn down and could easily fall over any day. The question was, did that man complain? No! in fact he said the most heartwarming thing that he could

Galatians 5:13

Galatians 5:13 - For your brethren, you have been called to liberty; only do not use it as opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. : In this text, it tells us that if we have been called to liberty for our brothers in the  church, we must not use it as a opportunity to serve ourselves and our own fleshly desires, but to serve God and our christian brethren. In the united states we have been given the liberty and justice for all, meaning that we have the freedom to go about our days and do what we please as long as its not a crime. This is okay of course but,on the other hand, it poses a problem with the American society and our new generation. This generation believes that since its ok to do what we please as long as its not a crime, that they have the right to make new decisions for a new way of life, sadly a liberal life that does NOT glorify God. Biblicaly, the rainbow is a sign of promise from God that He will never flood the earth again, But this gener

Ephesians 6:1 / Colossians 3:20

Ephesians 6:1- Children, Obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Colossians 3:20 - Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. : These two books contain two verses with the same exact rule that all children(and teens) should know. Both tell us to honor our mom and dad. This rule is not only mentioned in these texts, but also is one of Gods Ten Commandments that is therefore found in the book of Exodus. Exodus 20:12 says: " Honor your father and mother, that yours days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you." What do these texts mean by honoring our parents? It simply tells us that honoring our mom and dad here on earth, pleases the Lord. The Lord smiles when we obey the parents that He placed in our lives. Obedience towards parents is the most beautiful thing under the sun. If we obey our parents, we also in the long run are obeying God as well. Now, let's think about this. Is it better t

Romans 6:16

Romans 6:16- Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's to whom you obey, whether sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? : Here Paul is highlighting that obedience to authority, no matter what authority, is good for our well being. As a slave is to obey there master, so are we to obey our Lord Christ Jesus. Obedience is looked upon by this new generation as petty and trifle. they'd rather do things their own way than Gods way or the way of the authority  placed over them . Studies have shown that teenagers are more susceptible to commiting a crime or suicide than a adult. This stage is commonly called the rebellious teenage stage.Teenagers in this day and age think that once they are in their teens, they can do what ever they want. If they don't get what they want, they run away from home, commit suicide, commit crimes, vandalize property, or even shop lift. Although this isnt true for all teens, it

Acts 5:29

Acts 5:29- But Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men."         : In this verse, Peter and the other apostles boldly reply to the officers of the prison that they'd rather obey God rather than  man. This is a very good necessity in the christians walk with our Heavenly Father, but it doesn't give any excuse for disobeying the authority placed over us by God . Yet, if man is trying to make us do things that are against God, thats when we have the right to speak up for whats right and disobey. Obeying God rather than man is a very   wise move, since man is sinful and in some cases worldly. If someone tries to make us do wrong or disobey God and the authority placed over us, it is better to be persecuted by that person for not listening, than to listen, do wrong, and disobey God. If someone was to put a gun to our head and tell us to give up our faith, it is better to become a martyr than to reject our faith in our lovi

Revelation 1:9

Revelation 1:9 - I,John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. : Here we have the prophet John, who was imprisoned on the Island of Patmos. Even though he was a prisoner on that island, John still did not give up his work for the Lord. By having a vision of the Great Tribulation, and the return of our Father, John tells us about what he witnessed in this vision, so that it would be not only a warning to those out there who reject God, but, as a Revelation fornthe church of Our Father as well. This should be a great lesson for us desciples in Christ, that, no matter what obsticals come in our way, we shall still do our Fathers work. We should remain loyal to our ministry here on earth for as long as we are still here, for what we do in the Lords name, will someday be blessed. Not only does this context show us to remain loyal to o

Philippians 4:11

Philippians 4:11 - Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned  in which state I am, to be Content.              : Theres the word " Content again ! Yay! " In this verse we learn once again how important  it is to be content. God wants us to be content in Him.  Even though we may go through our rough days in life where we literally feel like ripping our hair out of our heads. For me, when it comes to certain aspects like doing loads of homework, I find myself getting aggrivated with the certain things that  that are being put on my schedule plate. The devil starts lying to me and tantalilzing me saying " If you don't get this or that done, you will be being seen as a laughing stock or a failure. " My flesh, of course is weak, and I must confess that sometimes I find myself believing those slanderous lies and thats where my aggrivation begins. I, and everyone else in the world, sometimes need to relize that not being content with the homework or wo

1 Timothy 6:6-8

1 Timothy 6:6-8 : Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing in this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. : Here Paul is telling us that in our godly walk, we should be content with what we have. from the shirt on our backs to the food on our tables, we should be thankful for what God has provided for us. I started learning to be content with what I have when I came into this Ministry, Ignite. Unlike everyone else in my class, I came with very little in my suit cases and now know what its like to go from having so many clothes and comforters on my bed, to having hardly any and a shaggy, raggedy old blanket and torn sheets on my bed here that I just had enough time to grab. Yes I have barely anything, and have gone from having so much at my finger tips, to wishing for shopping day when I will finally be able to get some more clothes. but I can manage for now. I just thank God for
Ephesians 5:21 - Submitting to one another in the fear of God. : This verse tells us that we should submit to one another in the fear of the Lord. This is perfect advice for Team Guatemala, Team Uganda, and Team Costa Rica! If we submit to our team mates ( and the authority God will place over us)  on the field, God will be present there with us in times of need. Team work is a good example of loyalty and friendship, if we submit to one another and get along, Team work is exactly what we will have. In Ignite, I learned about team work, how if we help one another and have each others backs, things are more easy and get done faster. We should, under God, submit to one another and help each other out cause, out on the field, our teams will definitely be depending on it. APPLICATION: While doing things with my Team ( Team Guat ), I will make sure that  we have each others back and that we work as not one but a Team to get certain things done.

Hebrews 6:12

Hebrews 6:12 - So that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience inherit the promises. : Here is a perfect verse for a believer who is planning on going into the mission field to do Gods work. We need not to be sluggish in our work, instead we must do it unto the Lord with a heart for labor and not be lazy when we are doing it. When we do our work unto  the Lord, we need not complain, but be genuinely glad in it. I useed to despise working for the Lord, or working in general; but that all changed when I started doing my work unto the Lord, My Father in heaven who delights in our service to Him as His servants. we all must remember one Biblical creature that constantly works. the ant. This tiny creature works hard to build and gather food. they don't  just lay around. the Bible says that we should consider the ant and how she goes about her work without any stopping. if we could be loyal workers like that little creature that God created,

Colossians 1:11

Colossians 1: 11 - Being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great indurance and patience. : Here is a letter from the apostle Paul that states that if we are strengthened with all power according to Gods marvelous might, we  may have great indurance and patience in the Lord Jesus Christ. This verse is very helpful for a  fledgling missionary who is just going into the mission field for the first time.  it is encouraging to know that we can always depend on our heavenly Father for strength when things may get tough. If we are following God real close with a whole heart, He will, if we ask Him, gift us with indurance and patience for our hard times in the field or in everyday life.  What I have learned for the past 4 weeks is that, instead of complaining during my hard times and during spiritual warfare, I should just resist the devil or the things that are bothering me and turn to the Lord for Indurance and patience and He helped me o

Luke 21 ;19

Luke 21:19 - By your patience, possess your souls. : Here Jesus is talking about patience. " By patience, possess your souls." Patience is key in a believers walk with our heavenly Father. If we are patient, and wait on Him, He will certainly back us up in our spiritual walk with Him, especially in our troubling  times. Our God is a just God, a awesome God who delights in the patience of His children. If we are not patient and don't wait on God, this will grieve our Father immensily . Being patient in tough circumstances is beneficial to the christians way of life. we must always remember that , our Father has our back , no matter how hard the day may be or how loud the spiritual warfare in our heads may get. APPLICATION : Tomorrow, I will be patient if spiritual warfare or conflict comes my way. i will give all my frustrations and worries to my Father in Heaven and will always keep in mind that in tough trials, He has my back, if only I cry out to Him.

Luke 8: 11-15

Luke 8:11-15 : "Now the parable is this; The seed is the Word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear, then the devil comes comes and takes away the Word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the Word with joy; and these have no root who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the Word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. :  Here Jesus is explaining the Parable of the Sower that he told to the multitude of people. here, the seed that the sower is sowing, represence our Fathers Word, the different soils are the people who have heard the Word and have concieved it in their many different ways.  If t

James 1:5

James 1:5- If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. : this verse teaches us how we can rely on God for godly wisdom, here James teaches us that if we lack wisdom, we shan't be afraid, we should just ask it of God and if we are followers of Him, He will bless us with the wisdom from above that we need to make it through this world. King Solomon was blessed with the gift of godly wisdom by God , and he used it well, but sadly he became prideful and gave himself the glory instead of God , which resulted in him witnessing a bitter loss. If we recieve the gift of godly wisdom, we must be careful to not give ourselves the glory, but give God all the glory for we must remember that He is the one who gave us that gift in the first place. it is good for us to  wholesomely ask God for godly wisdom and guidance with a pure heart. God is a good good Father who cares very much for His children ( the church

Psalm 111:10

Psalm 111:10- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise forever. : this verse in Psalm 111,talks about the fear of the Lord that all believers should have , since its beneficial for the believer to have the Fear of the Lord in his life ; lets go over what the Fear of the Lord even means . to have the fear of the Lord means to have a obedient response of the wonder and awe before the Most High God.  now, lets think about that word 'obediance'. obediance means to obey the authority of a person who is more advanced in age and or a person that has more wisdom than us and more knowledge. like a mom or dad , or sensei, or maybe a grandmother , grandfather, or principal , or , how about God? If we have obediance for the awe and wonder of our Father in Heaven, our walk with Him will be sweet, blessed , and filled with His divine grace and mercy. the fear of the Lord is very important when it comes

James 3:13-17

James 3: 13-17 : Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusing and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. : these verses show the benefits of the wisdom of the godly and the fault of the prideful and wisdom of the worldly. For the godly man, godly wisdom is essential for his walk with Christ and his meekness shows how hes ready to surrender to authority when it crosses paths with him. The meek man wont argue with the authority placed over him and will obey the authority of God.Then there is the self seeking man, he is

Mark 10:47-49

Mark 10: 47-49: And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, " Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.  : In these verses, Bartimaeus, a blind man,  heard Jesus' voice and therefore called out to Him to notice him and have mercy on him, causing many to notice him and tell him to be quiet. he didnt care and called for Jesus to notice him yet again and this time, Jesus noticed Bartimaeus and commanded the multitude to call him over. sometimes, we are a lot like Bartimaeus, we are blind from our many sins in our lives, crying out for God to pick us up and help us. we cry and plea for God to have mercy on you,and , if we are close to Him, he does just that. if you ever heard the song 'Amazing Grace', it talks about Jesus saving us by dying on t

Faith

Hebrews 11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things unseen : In this verse .it talks about how faith is the substance of things hoped for . Jesus said "If we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains." This is very true !!  if we believe in the Lord our God , whom is very much real but yet unseen , and if we put all our faith in Him, He can help us in the thick and thin of our every day life . Believe it or not, I learned that during my childhood. I had a childhood experience that I will never forget. I know this may sound very far fetched, but, it is the truth that I know most people who have had the same incident happen, would definitley believe. I must have been 7 years of age at the time when this took place . It was a week after my 7th birthday that me and my friend were playing with a flying disc, or as it is called ,frisby at the time in the backyard and were laughing and carrying on like children do, when my frien
