Mark 4:11-12

Mark 4:11-12 : And He said to them, " To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that 'Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand; And their sins be forgive them. :  Here Jesus tells us that He tells His parables, not that the people may perceive not that they will understand, but that they may see and their sins be forgiven. On the mission field in Guatemala, Team Guatemala will, by Gods will, be given the chance to minister and tell people about Him and the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made so that they may have Salvation. While we are in Guat, there will be times were we may get that chance, some will listen, some will turn an walk away or call us crazy. But, no matter what the outcome may be, we shall keep pressing on in our Fathers work.We were born into this world for only one reason, so that our Father can use us as tools to bring the Good news

Philippians 3:9

Philippians 3:9- And be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousnesss which is from God by faith. :   Here, in this verse, Paul is telling us that it is beneficial for us, as believers and followers of Christ to not be self-righteousness, nor stubborn, but to put all our trust in Him and be righteous in our walk with God.  Jesus Christ is the only one we should put our trust in if we don't, spiritual warfare will take place in our day and we may fail in what we are doing, also pride may also get in the way of what God wants in our lives. As mere humans, we are gullible and easily sucked in to the wants and the things of this life; we must be very careful not to let the trifle things of this world get in the way of our walk with our Heavenly Father. Another thing we must be careful of is Pride. It is one of those Seven Deadly Sins that the Lord completely dislikes. Pride is basic

Philippians 3:8

Philippians 3:8 - Yet indeed I also count all things for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ. :  To lay things down is the hardest thing for the everyday person to do, But it is thew best thing to do if we want to have a real intimate relationship with our Father. In this verse, Paul tells us that we should , If we want to follow the Lord, lay down the things that may be idols in our lives that are taking in most of the time that we should have with Jesus Christ our Savior. The most dangerous thing for our walk with the Lord is social media, some secular music and more things that are of this world.  If a person is trying to follow the Lord and yet are hanging on to those things, they are going to struggle greatly. Lay those worldly idols down, Pick up the cross and follow Christ. Thats what God is calling us to do. The Lord said we can not serve to Kings, we Can no

Mattthew 18:15

Matthew 18:15 - Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. : This verse talks about how if our brother sins against us or says something untrue about us, we should confront them about it and tell them what they did was wrong, if our brother in the Lord hears us and confesses that what he said was wrong, we should forgive that person so that all will be well between you and your brother. But if we talk to them about what said or did, yet they won"t confess  and they keep on doing it, thats when we should get a elder or someone who  is put in authority over us, and confront our brother with that person as a witness. Here in Ignite, the rule is, if a brother does us wrong, we should have a R.A ( room assistant) or another one of our Team mates our the pastor with us so that they could be a witness of what we are exactly saying to our brother or sister. This is a very good rule tha

2 Corinthians 13:11

2Corinthians 13:11 - Finally brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, Be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace be with you. : This text is a farewell not from the apostle Paul to the Corinthians, in this text he tells them to be of one mind, become complete, be of good comfort, and to live in peace and the God of love and peace be with them.  This text can be perfect for our Teams here in Ignite that are going to their assigned locations, we should live in peace with one another and be of one mind, especially when we are out on the mission field. We should work together as a team and be there to back each other up, let alone , we should live in harmony with one another under God peacefully as brothers and sisters in Christ and have no malice towards each other. The every day person will argue, "How can that be possible when you all are going to be living under the same roofs for 6 months straight?" well, to that arguement, there is a st

Romans 12:6

Romans 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them; If prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith. : The greek word for "gifts" is charismata, which refers to God-given abilities that should be used to build up other members in the church. As christians, we should use these gifts or talents to glorify the Lord and not ourselves. But as humans, the flesh is weak, we are bound to want to use those gifts for our own glory, sometimes we slip up and do get the glory, sadly forgetting all the praise should go to the Lord. God gives us these gifts and talents to praise and glorify Him, we should be devout to this truth and use our gifts only for that reason. I confess, I tend to slip up as well, but if I give God the glory, He smiles and says "well done, good and faithful servant." APPLICATION : Today, if I do well during my shift at work, I'm going to give all the glory to the Lord.

1 John 1:5-7

1John 1:5-7 - Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in Heaven; The Father, the Word, And the holy Spirit; and these three are one. : In these verses we are taught about the Trinity of Christ. The Trinity as we know it, is all one, The Father, The Son, And the Holy Ghost. As we also may like to know, the Trinity is also very mysterious to us who are human. But, Although it is very difficult to comprehend, The Trinity is very much important and also divinely powerful and Holy.  I myself struggled with trying to figure out the Trinity, but what I've learned is that it is nothing that we should try to figure out, we should just leave these things to the Lord who knows all things. All we shall know as believers is that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all one and they are equally all powe
